Floors for a working town
Petaluma has a long history as an agricultural and food town, and it still has a lot of businesses that make things. Breweries, creameries, bakeries, wineries, workshops and warehouses all depend on floors that hold up to water, heat, chemicals and constant traffic. Bare concrete does not. It absorbs spills, sheds dust into products and becomes hard to keep clean. A properly installed resin floor seals the slab, makes cleaning faster and helps a space look professional to inspectors and customers alike.
What we install
For general industrial use, warehouses and shops, we install high-build epoxy systems in solid colors, often with safety lines and marked zones. For wet production areas such as breweries and creameries, we install quartz broadcast and urethane cement systems that handle hot water washdowns, thermal shock and cleaning chemicals. For retail, offices and showrooms, we install decorative flake or metallic systems, or recommend polished concrete where it fits better. Each system is chosen for the actual conditions in your building.
Wet areas and sanitation
Food and beverage spaces have special needs. Floors must be seamless, nonporous and easy to sanitize. We install integral cove bases so the floor curves up the wall with no seam for bacteria to hide in. We pay close attention to slope and drains so water runs off instead of pooling. Textured broadcast finishes give grip even when the floor is wet and soapy. Where hot water and steam cleaning are used, we recommend urethane cement, which tolerates temperature swings that would crack a standard epoxy.
Preparation for commercial slabs
Commercial slabs often have years of history: oil, sealers, old coatings, adhesives from earlier flooring and cracks from heavy loads. We shot blast or diamond grind to clean, sound concrete, test for moisture and repair joints, cracks and damaged areas. On the clay soils common in this area, moisture testing is especially important, and we use moisture-mitigating primers when needed. Joints are filled with semi-rigid fillers that support forklift and cart wheels.
Working around your business
We know a closed floor is lost revenue. We can phase the work so part of the building stays open, schedule nights and weekends and use fast-curing systems that shorten downtime. We coordinate with your production schedule, your equipment moves and any inspections you need. Before we start, you get a written schedule that shows what area is closed and when it will be ready for foot traffic, light carts and full use.
Safety and markings
We can add safety lines, walkways, parking stripes, hazard zones and color-coded areas as part of the floor. These are built into the coating system, so they last much longer than taped or painted lines. We also add grit to topcoats in areas that see spills, and we can recommend different textures for different zones of the same building.
Warehouses and flex spaces
The business parks along the highway and near the river are full of flex spaces used for storage, light manufacturing and contractor shops. Those floors see pallet jacks, forklifts and dropped tools. A thicker epoxy system with a hard topcoat stands up to that wear and makes dust a thing of the past. Bright gray or light floors also reflect light, which can make a warehouse feel brighter without changing the fixtures.
Questions
Can you work while we stay open?
Often, yes. We can phase the project and work after hours.
What system is best for a brewery?
Usually urethane cement or a quartz broadcast system with a cove base. We will recommend based on your process.
Do you provide product data sheets?
Yes. We provide data and safety sheets for every product we install.

Inspections and documentation
Food and beverage businesses often need to show inspectors what is on the floor. We provide product data, safety sheets and a summary of the system we installed, so you have it on file when someone asks. If you are opening a new space, we can also time the floor around your build-out so it is finished before equipment arrives.
